Daily Lunch Delivery FAQs

Where do we deliver?
Rasta Mama’s Kitchen delivery brings delicious food to the Solano County, Dixon, and Davis areas.

When do we deliver?
We deliver Monday-Saturday. Please make your reservation by 5 pm the day prior to your delivery date. Payment is due on the day you order.

When can I expect the food to arrive?
Delivery for daily lunch is between 11 am-2 pm.

How does it work?
Our hours of operation are 9 am-5 pm.  If you place an order after this time, please call to make sure your order was processed.  All meals are freshly made to order.  Place your order for your desired meal a day or two before the date.

Do we have a minimum requirement?
Free delivery for orders $25 and above.  There will be a $5 delivery fee added for orders below $25.

How do you order?
Please choose your orders on the Daily Lunch Specials page and add delivery day and instructions during checkout. Or contact us at 707-592-2236 or chantoll@therastamamaskitchen.com. We are available to take your call Monday-Friday from 9 am-5 pm.

How much advance notice do we need?
All of our food is hand-made with care using the freshest ingredients possible. Therefore, we request you make your reservation at least by 5 pm on the day prior to your delivery date for all orders. Payment is due on the day you order. But always feel free to call us if you are in a pinch, we may be able to recommend a menu to accommodate your needs if you are unable to meet the advanced notice guidelines. We cannot guarantee the delivery time for last-minute requests.

What is the cancellation policy?
There are no refunds on daily lunches. If you are unable to receive your meal, your funds will be placed on an account gift card that can be used towards any future meal.

Fresh and Frozen Meal Prep

Do we have a minimum requirement?
1/2 Dozen Patties. Free delivery for orders $25 and above.  There will be a $5 delivery fee added for orders below $25.

How does ordering and billing work?
Place your orders online. Please allow 72 hours for delivery.

What is the cancellation policy?
All delivery orders require 72-hour advance notice from the time of delivery. If you decide to cancel there will be a 15% perishable fee. 

How do I reheat my frozen food?
Instructions for Reheating:

Regular-sized patties: Preheat oven 400 degrees and bake for 20-30 minutes until golden brown on the bottom.

Mini patties: Preheat oven 400 degrees and bake for 15-20 minutes until golden brown on the bottom.

Meals can be reheated in the microwave.  Times will vary.  Containers are microwave save and BPA free.

Special Event FAQs

When do I need to order for a Special Event?
Please contact us at least a month before your special event.  If you are in a pinch, please call us directly at 707-592-2236 and we can help figure something out for your event. 

When can I expect the food to arrive?
We will arrive at least 1-2 hours before your special event begins to set up the catering.

How does it work?

    • Start by determining your needs and then use our contact form to tell us about your event. Please include information about the number of guests and budget. Pricing is charged per head for special events.
    • Setup a Tasting.  Rasta Mama's Kitchen will let you taste your menu choices.  Tastings are charged upfront, but should you decide to move forward with Rasta mama's Kitchen catering, that fee will be deducted from your event fee.
    • After reserving your event you will be charged a nonrefundable 20% deposit. Once the deposit is paid your reservation will be confirmed.
    • The remainder of the fee will be charged two weeks prior to your event. We accept all major credit cards and checks.

Do we have a minimum requirement?
We have a $250 minimum before tax and delivery fees. Our minimum for special events in December is $500 before tax and delivery.

How much advance notice do we need?
All of our food is hand-made with care using the freshest ingredients possible. Therefore, we request at least 1 months notice for all special events. But always feel free to call us if you are in a pinch, we may be able to recommend a menu to accommodate your needs if you are unable to meet the advanced notice guidelines. We cannot guarantee the delivery time for last-minute requests.

What is the cancellation policy?
If your event is cancelled after the date is booked (i.e. proposal is accepted and a date is reserved) there will be a 20% cancellation fee plus any costs incurred and the difference will be refunded accordingly. If the event is cancelled with in 72 hours of the reserved date, payment is due in full.

How does billing work?
After you have reserved your special event we will send an invoice for a non-refundable 20% deposit.  Once the invoice is paid your reservation will be confirmed. The remainder of the fee will be charged two weeks prior to your event. We accept all major credit cards and checks.

When do we pick up the equipment?
We pick up equipment for the day after 2 PM. If your meeting runs past 5 PM we will schedule a pick up for the following day. If any equipment is lost or damaged there will be a replacement fee for the equipment in question.

Do we provide disposables?
Rasta Mama’s Kitchen only uses compostable products. We will provide you with all the necessary wares such as plates, utensils, cups, and napkins.

What type of serving ware do we use for events?
We are environmentally friendly and only use reusable platters. Any items not returned are subject to a replacement fee.

Workplace Delivery FAQs

Where do we deliver?
Rasta Mama’s Kitchen delivery brings delicious food to the Solano County workplace.

When do we deliver?
Our lunch delivery occurs on Fridays at noon. For special workplace events on other days require an appointment which you can arrange through our contact form.

When can I expect the food to arrive?
We will arrive at least 30 minutes before your lunch/ special event begins to set-up the catering.

What do we deliver?
We deliver, lunch and appetizer platters.

How does it work?

Frozen Food Pickup FAQs

Do we have a minimum requirement?
Patties minimum 1 dozen, Spice bites minimum 20 bites

How does ordering and billing work frozen pick up?
Place your order online, and pay online. Pickups are on Mondays from 5:00-7:00 pm at [NEED ADDRESS HERE].

What is the cancellation policy?
Frozen orders require 24 hour advance notice of cancellation from the pickup time or the bill will be charged in full.

How do I reheat my frozen food?
Instructions for Reheating:

Regular patties: Preheat oven 350 degrees cook for 15-18 minutes until golden brown on the bottom.

Mini patties: Preheat oven 350 degrees cook for 10-12 minutes until golden brown on the bottom.

Spice Bites:
Deep fryer: 350º for 3 1/2 minutes until golden brown.
Pan fry: Defrost spice bites. Fill frying pan with oil and fry on all sides for 3 1/2 min or until they turn golden brown.


Special Event FAQs

When do I need to order for a Special Event?
